Financial Advisor, Amanda Daugherty has been helping individuals, families, and businesses meet their financial goals for 15 years. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a concentration in psychology, sociology, & pre-law. She played collegiate softball during her college years but left the field to focus on her academics to pursue what she was most passionate about; helping people in the area of finance. Her career began with a subsidiary of Citigroup where she focused on insurance and mortgages. She then transitioned to Bank of America where she held positions of banker, teller operations supervisor, and assistant branch manager. Due to a transition to Colorado for her husband’s medical residency, she left Bank of America and moved to Wells Fargo where she worked her way up to branch management and was honored to be selected as Diversity Champion and Bank Officer before coming to East Texas. Soon after arriving to Nacogdoches, Wells Fargo Advisors assisted in getting her securities licensed to serve in the area of wealth management and financial planning.
Edward Jones recruited Amanda from Wells Fargo Advisors in 2015 to assume responsibility for an office in historic downtown Nacogdoches. During her time with the firm, she was selected into a Regional Leadership position, Women’s Inclusion Leader, and assisted as field trainer to help train and develop new advisor trainees. Amanda recently made the transition to Harbor Financial to launch her own business, Ignite Financial Group and independently grow her practice. Her goal is to accomplish her God-inspired vision of becoming a firm that truly serves clients at every stage of life. She strives to develop a diverse team of professionals that have a heart to serve others through educating, informing, and empowering clients to make wise financial decisions. A firm built on people first with emphasizing “knowledge is power”.
Amanda is a huge advocate for the local Nacogdoches Community and serves as President-Elect for The Fredonia Rotary Club. She also participates in events and organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce and United Way. She enjoys spending time with her husband Matt and four children. She also devotes time to her church community by participating in women’s conferences, bible studies, and volunteer activities. Reading, exercising, traveling, and playing with her dogs, Bella and Ruger, are a few of the many things she likes to do outside of work.
